Description
The Life Time Academy Group Fitness Instructor course is an 8-week program designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead dynamic and effective group fitness classes. Through a blend of online coursework and interactive live sessions, you'll learn essential topics such as exercise science, class planning, and motivational techniques.
This course emphasizes hands-on experience, allowing you to practice your skills and receive feedback from experienced instructors. Whether you aim to teach cardio, strength, or flexibility classes, this course prepares you to excel in your role as a Group Fitness Instructor and make a lasting impact on your participants.
Time Commitment
- Online Coursework (~ 5-8 hours/week)
- Live Webinars (2-4 hour/week):
- Live Webinars: Every Tuesday & Thursday 7:00-8:00pm CST
- Labs: Every other Monday 7:00-9:00pm CST

Professional Responsibilities & Legal Awareness: Gain knowledge of the legal and ethical boundaries of instructing, including safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the nuances of in-person and virtual teaching, ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Building and Designing Effective Workouts: Learn how to structure a class from warm-up to cool-down, select exercises and intensity levels, integrate music to enhance the workout experience, and ensure modifications are available for all fitness levels.
