Consultation: This is KEY when it comes to extensions, the perfect extension application starts when they sit down for a consultation.
What we will go over:

- Questions to ask your client & how to evaluate your client’s hair to determine what method of application will be best suited for them & their lifestyle.

- How to color match & select the perfect colors.
- How to discuss the investment of extensions & the care/maintenance they should expect so your client is well equipped with all the knowledge they need when making their decision.

Placement & Design: How extensions are placed are crucial to completing the finished look. We will go over all the details on how to best place the hair for your client’s needs.

Cutting: No matter how perfect the color selection and extension application is, if the cut isn’t right it will be a giveaway that someone is wearing extensions. We always say the worst compliment you can receive is “I love your extensions.” No one should be able to detect you’re even wearing them, which is why we’re going to go in-depth to give you all the details & knowledge you need to give your clients the most natural & undetectable extension application there is.

Certification Overview

Come and join our 2 day hands-on class to learn how to do our Silvie Hybrid Extension Method, loved by our stylists and clients for years! After 2 days you’ll leave this hands-on class feeling confident in your ability to add the Silvie Extension Method to your service menu. This class covers both the sew in and strand by strand method.

Having a vast background as a master stylist, owner and lead educator Sylvia has been leading the extension industry in Minnesota and has continued to grow her reach nationally. She was the first stylist in the state to travel the country to learn new and innovative extension methods no one else in Minnesota was doing in order to always offer the very best to her clients.

Years later after having run a successful salon with a talented team of stylists, Sylvia and our team have been doing our very own extension method in-house and are finally releasing the Silvie Extension Method for all stylists to learn!

After countless training and trips across the country learning from the top talent in the hair industry and a vast variety of extension methods, we as a salon have utilized and combined our knowledge to create our very own extension method that has been loved by our clients for years.

After years of perfecting and making sure we had every single detail mastered we’re confident we’ve nailed down the best extension method to offer clients and are ready to release this for all stylists to use and enjoy. We want for every stylist to have all the knowledge they need to succeed & offer the very best extension method suited for their client’s hair.

This method is loved by our stylists and has been proven successful and a client favorite for years. The Silvie Extension Method is suitable for clients with the thinnest hair to clients that are blessed with amazing hair but are still wanting something more.

On a daily basis, we have multiple extension consultations and applications in our salon! We know that every step of an extension service is equally important for the overall look, which is why we’re going into all the nitty gritty details to help you run a successful extension business behind the chair!

Silvie Method Hybrid Certification Details:

Day 1 Schedule:

9:00am: Intros and theory
10:00am: Start hands on portion/ demonstration
12:30pm: Lunch
1:00pm: Continue hands on portion on mannequin head
4:00pm: Cutting, styling, Q&A, social media

Day 2 Schedule:
8:00am: Models arrive to get prepped and clarified
9:00am: Test out starts
12:00pm: Lunch
2:00pm: Cut and style and one video reel of their model posted for their social
3:00pm: Wrap up and closing comments. Hand out certificates

Model is required for Day 2
Model requirements:
Someone with medium/fine thin hair looking to add both fullness and some length (usually 1-4 inches of length can be added depending on hair density). If the model has short thick/blunt hair, then they would not be a good model for test out certification. For test out day stylists can use between 1-2 bundles (but not exceeding 2 due to time and efficiency) and one row of Silvie machine wefts (not exceeding one row).

We want everyone to leave feeling confident and not rushed. If anyone has questions on if their model will work have them send us a picture and we can help them out.

For test out certification day, the models will need to be clarified (washed using clarifying shampoo 2-4 times no conditioner.)

Model arrival is at 9:00am to be washed so we can start promptly at 10:00
